A key organizational component of Mocha Moms, Inc. is support for our communities. Mocha Moms, Inc. supports a variety of charities and causes that impact women, children and families. Below are several of our national partnerships:
- Shot @Life
- Susan G. Komen
- Zero to Three
- America’s Promise Alliance
- Be the Match
- Occupy School
- Boys Booked on Barbershops (BBOB)
The National Executive Board has mandated that each chapter complete two community service initiatives per year. Cobb Country Mocha Moms chapter strives to do more.
COMMUNITY ACTIVISM GOALS
- Foster a spirit of sisterhood and volunteerism among our membership
- Hone and cultivate skills not currently being used in our jobs as moms; and
- Help our children understand the importance of “community” by providing activities that allow families to serve together.
With these goals in mind, this year’s outreach and charity projects/events include:
- Cobb County Diaper Drive
- Food, Toy, or School Supply drives
- Breast Cancer Awareness walk/run
- Support for homeless mothers in our community
