Member Guidelines

Our chapter is thriving because so many of our members become actively involved!  The more people who are willing to get involved, the more dynamic and interesting our group will become. Below are some guidelines to ensure that members have a supportive and enriching experience.

We do not allow our FB pages, events or meetings to be utilized for unsolicited marketing purposes. Sharing a local free lecture or other non-profit event is generally fine, but the posting of sales/specials or events that promote a personal or other for-profit business will result in a warning and/or removal. Businesses that market to our membership do so because they have paid a sponsorship fee.

This stand on solicitation is taken to prevent our group from being used for mass marketing purposes. Mocha Moms was founded by moms to be a source of support and we continue to be authentically run by moms without any other agenda.   Therefore, we reserve the right to suspend the membership of anyone who violates this policy. Members and other businesses interested in advertising on our website, member or social media platforms can visit the Sponsorship section for more information.

We love planning events for you and your kids to enjoy, and it helps us greatly when you RSVP!  Our committee chairs make every effort to post events in a timely manner so that everyone has sufficient time to RSVP. The chairs and hosts need to know who will be attending so we can plan/book the event accordingly. While we understand things come up like illness, etc., should you need to cancel, please try to update your RSVP the night before. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of a refund.

We want to do everything we can to ensure that our children remain as healthy as possible. Therefore we ask that you follow these guidelines:

Please do NOT attend any function if you or your child/children has or had ONE of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours:

  • Severe cough (that is not related to asthma or allergies)
  • Vomiting
  • Extreme lethargy
  • Sore throat
  • Diarrhea or upset stomach
  • Unusual spots or rashes
  • Runny nose not associated with allergies
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye) – with or without discharge
  • Fever
  • Any infections for which an antibiotic was taken within 24 hours or less
